The Copycat Project is the discovery of a building with immense history in industrial innovation along with a glimpse into the avant-garde culture and creativity that is being defined today. The Copycat building is known as a mecca for the creative
class in Baltimore, Maryland. Living spaces inside the warehouse can be enormous with rooms that are mismatched but cleverly functional. Remnants of an industrial past still loom throughout the building; leftover pieces of scrap metal are bolted to the ceiling and freight elevators that once transported heavy machinery now move art work and bed frames. The building residents continuously build upon the enigma that the landmark building possesses. The Copycat Project will be presented as a hardcover book and exhibition featuring over 100 residents within their living
spaces including a forward on the complete linear history of the
building. This project was designed by two creative photographers Alex Wein and Rob Brulinski , it’s the contemporary perspective with a historical backbone
that The Copycat deserves. The project will limelight Baltimore city as a serious
destination for experimental innovators, students, art collectors, and business owners alike.
